这是一篇小组报告，我被分配到写introduction 和第一部分Discuss the theories behind such assertion and explain your viewpoints. 整篇小组报告时2500字，这2部分要写多少字希望老师看下题目之后再决定(我觉得大概开头200-250，第一问大概400-500.) 最后还要写一篇700字的整个小组在写这篇报告时我个人学到了什么。（Introduction里要介绍这篇文章怎么写是关于第二个问题说选择2个公司我们现在小组还没有讨论好具体写那两个公司，所以你先用公司X和Y代替吧。）
语法就用简单易懂的单词就好了，每句句子不要太长。复杂句子最好少用。

这门课的名字是“contemporary issues in Accounting”
论文题目：
“Climate change is a global issue and is the joint responsibility of national governments at large. Individual enterprises in the private sector can have little influence over it. Therefore, unless it is stipulated by law or regulations, a company should not spend too much resource on reporting carbon emission. Rather, it should focus on maximizing its shareholders wealth”. Discuss.
Required:
The project report (maximum 2500 words) should address the following:
1. Discuss the theories behind such assertion and explain your viewpoints.
2. Obtain the most recent annual reports for 2 listed companies in the same industry.
Compare and contrast their disclosure on environmental protection in the annual reports and comment on the following:
a) How much information is provided about environment protection?
b) What are the pros and cons for such levels of disclosure?
c) Is there any theoretical reasoning for such disclosure behavior(s)?
d) Is the information sufficient to allow users of the reports to make an informed decision? In what way?

In addition to the group report, each member should submit a personal reflective section of no more than 700 words about the personal learning she/he has derived from the group project.
