She broadens the concept of meme and synthesized all kinds of researchresults. To some extent, she provided the theory to support the combination of language and meme later. Inher opinion, human's complex cognitive procession such as language, reading and science research all onthe basis of imitation, she explored some typical social phenomena from that new perspective. Her researchwas a milestone toward the road of meme development. From that, scholars started exploring the wholememetics mechanism. At the same time, memetics as another science branch raise quietly.

2.2 Researches on English Vocabulary Teaching Abroad and at Home
As for theory research about vocabulary teaching, foreign researches give us different ideas fromdifferent views. The earliest time can date back 18-19 century: Grammar-Translation Method. It was theearliest pedagogic taken from modern language such as French, Germ and English. It largely inherited thetradition of Greek and Latin pedagogies .Grammar-Translation Method focused on developing readingability and paid much attention on grammar teaching. The requirement of vocabulary teaching must base ontextbook, vocabulary learning through dictionary and memorizing. Due to taking textbook seriously, itleaded to weak communicative competence. People quickly found out short-comes of this method and triedtheir best to explore new teaching method.In order to deal with these problems such as out of real life and weak communicative competence,Direct Method came into being. It came from Europe and America in 19-20 century. It focused on oralteaching and phonetics drill instead of teaching grammar. It helped students to contact a lot of real languagematerials rather than translation. However, due to excluding the usage of mother tongue, it leaded tostudents having difficulty in understanding.After 19 century, teaching expert Gouin in French was affected by machinery linguistics, coming upwith New Series Method. Learning starts with daily life language. It focused on teaching vocabulary undersentence. Verb is a center of language. By this way, vocabulary was endowed by certain languageenvironment, providing Situational Language Teaching with rich land. At the beginning of 20 century,British linguists: H.E.Palmer and A.S.Homby came up with Situational Language Teaching, thinkinglanguage teaching through practicing language structure to complete on the meaningful situation.
