Introduction
With the development of world economy and people's increasing demands for works of art, art auction market has acquired an unprecedentedly rapid development, when promote art trading, auction houses have also brought themselves huge profits. Taking the world's two largest auction houses, Christie's and Sotheby's as examples. In 2011, their revenues were more than 10 billion U.S. dollars. At https://www.51lunwen.org/ArtandDesign/2012/0614/2342225522.html the same time, to pursue their own interests, some auctions houses have some behavior which is contrary to moral and ethical norms, such as auctioning fakes, hiding blemishes and provenance of works of art, price-fixing, etc.  In this essay, it first discussed the problems of conflicts between ethics and interests existing in auction houses’ and art dealers’ transactions of artworks and antiques. Then, it was from two aspects to discuss whether auction houses and art dealers should only be involved in ethics when it suits their own interests. In the end, it analyzed the measures that can be used in handling such situation and drew a conclusion.
