 Differences in the English and Chinese Edition of Hamlet from Language Aspect
Introduction
Shakespeare is the literary giants of the English Renaissance, and the charm of his works has gone across borders, time and space. As the masterpiece of Shakespeare, Hamlet has been translated into more than 80 kinds of editions, including the Chinese translation, since it was published in the early 17th century. In China, the translated versions are reproducing the stylistic and ideological content of the original faithfully, and make great contributions to the research and translation of Shakespeare in Chinese. Meanwhile, the differences of language and culture make the English and Chinese edition of Hamlet different. When translating into another language, the original meaning of work will be affected to some degree in the translated versions. This essay will firstly discuss the differences in the English and Chinese edition of Hamlet from language aspect. Following this, it will analyze the effects brought by the differences on the readers. Besides, in this essay the Chinese version will choose the one translated by Liang Shiqiu.

Conclusion
In the English and Chinese edition of Hamlet, there are many differences, as the languages of English and Chinese are different. In conclusion, the grammar variations, rhetoric techniques, linguistic forms and other aspects will affect the translated versions. The artistic value of the original work will be lost. When translating into another language, the meaning of the original work will be with some discount to some degree.
