In accordance with the University’s graduate qualities, this assignment isoffered as a group assignment to promote the development of collaborativework skills. This assignment may be undertaken on an individual basis oras a group of TWO or THREE students. The maximum size of the group isnot negotiable. A student cannot be a member of more than one group. There isno limitation on who may form a group. Thus, the groups may be changed fromthe first assignment.
Students working in a group are jointly and severally responsible for the
material handed in to be assessed. All members of the group must sign the
plagiarism declaration. By signing the plagiarism declaration:
• You are deemed to have full knowledge of the contents of the whole
assignment and the sources from which the contents were derived;
• You acknowledge that you have referenced all material from other

All students named in a group assignment are deemed jointly and

Submission is required via AssignIT. Assignments submitted by e-mail will notbe accepted.
An extension of time for submission of an assignment will not be granted unlessapproval has been obtained from the course co-ordinator before the duedate of the assignment. Late assignments will be penalised.
An extension of time for submission of an assignment will only be granted inexceptional circumstances supported by documentary evidence submitted tothe course co-ordinator before the due date of the assignment. WORK
COMMITMENTS ARE INSUFFICIENT GROUNDS ON WHICH TO GRANT AN
EXTENSION. This rule will be strictly adhered to. A majority of the studentsstudying this course are working and studying at the same time. As such, it is a
question of equality and fair treatment of all students studying this course. Workcommitments do not constitute exceptional circumstances.
It is the responsibility of the student requesting the extension to submit thatrequest to the course co-ordinator before the due date of the assignment. Inaddition, the request will not be considered by the course co-ordinator unless itis accompanied by a copy of that student’s work in progress on theassignment.
In the event that an extension is requested by one member of a group, it isexpected that the other members of that group will have largely completed theircontribution by the assignment
