delight in it”. So the teacher should use all kinds of ways to arouse students’ interest in learning English.
2.3.2  Analysis of the Present English Learning Situation
     a. Teachers’ situation
English teaching in China is dominated, to a large extent, by the teacher-centered, text-oriented practices , And  little attention is paid to the training of the students’ interest. The traditional methods are mainly referred to as didactics. It is a kind of teaching method in which the main task of a teacher is to lecture and explain the linguistic knowledge, and the main task of students is to listen and take notes. They only accept the knowledge passively given by a teacher, instead of being active to use their brains to understand, remember and use the knowledge. Therefore, didactics is unbeneficial for the students to play their main role, and should not be frequently used in English teaching.
   b. Students’ situation
During a lesson, most students just kept silent and acted as audience. They seldom spoke English or raised their hands to answer the teacher’s questions voluntarily, and some even fell asleep. It seemed that they were attaching little importance to their English lesson. There were two main reasons for their non-participation: one is that some students have lost interest in learning English, and other is that some have lost hope in learning English due to their poor rudimentary knowledge.
2.3.3 The Methods to Improve the Students’ Interest in English Class
In order to developing students’ interest in English class, English teachers should adopt modern teaching methods as much as they can. The author want to give some advisable methods that can develop the interest of students in teaching pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, because pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary are the three main language component, and also the bases of the four language skills.  For the effort to master the sound system, to pronounce the language is one of the most important aspects of learning a second language.
2.4 The Influence of Age Factors in Second Language Acquisition
It is commonly believed that children are better suited to learn a second language than are adults. Is that right? We need to find the answer by ourselves. From what we have learned, we know that there are at least three aspects of age factors affecting in learning second language acquisition. One is one's brain development, another is one's cognitive ability, and the other one is emotional factors.
Firstly, one's brain development has a special impact on the second language acquisition. According to the Critical Period Hypothesis(关键期假说), the original formulation of the CPH is based upon the work of the German-born American neurologist Eric Lundeberg (1967). The hypothesis implies that children have a special innate propensity for acquiring language that is determined by biological factors – so to speak a biological clock that limits the period during which natural language acquisition can take place. This assumption is based on the biological observation that the brain of a child is plastic whereas the brain of an adult is rigid and set. According to Lundeberg, during early childhood language appears to be more spread out across both brain hemispheres, but as the child grows older and the two hemispheres become increasingly specialized for论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
