摘要:任务型语言教学方法在20世纪80年代引起了重视。这是发达国家从交际语言教​​学,加强沟通,通过互动。本论文的目的是要找到如何英语话剧表演,作为一个基于任务的语言教学方法的有效形​​式,行使学生的英语综合技能。这项研究比较了学习者的英语学习不同的表现在两个时期---通过使用两种不同的教学方式之一,传统的方式和其他任务型教学,在英语话剧材料,行事方式。研究发现,学生体验英语戏剧行事得分较高。因此戏剧表演也充分体现学生的主体性,高度提高英语学习者的学习动机,开始他们在英语学习中的积极作用,从而提高学生的整体英语能力。

a performance, a form which provides the English learners with “real” scenes to play their talents and practice English skills naturally at a free and relax atmosphere, greatly arouses the students’ urge of learning English. And researchers have found English drama performance does have potential in motivating Chinese learners and bringing about positive learning effects. The author of the thesis conducted a research with 22 sophomores majored in English who were given the task of performing English drama, tried to analyze the characters of English drama performance and explore the impacts of the English drama performance on English learning.

 

Ⅱ. Task-based teaching approach and tasks given in English drama performance
A task is an activity which requires learners to arrive an outcome from given information through some process of thought, and which allows teachers to control and regulate that process [Prabhu(1987:24)] Tasks are activities where the target language is used by the leaner for a communicative purpose(goal)in order to achieve an outcome[Willis(1996:23)] Task-based teaching means to use the tasks as the core unit of instruction in language. It introduces the authentic texts into the learning situation and lays emphasis on learning to communicate through interaction in the target language. Meanwhile, it focuses on not only language itself, but also on the learning process. By giving the students tasks, teachers want to combine the class study with the study out of the classroom in the purpose of stimulating the students’ motivation. This contributes much to the students’ language leaning. For example, at the beginning of a new class, the students are asked to introduce themselves or their families. The teacher may require the students to collect the information about his or her relatives. And he or she may draw a family tree in order to introduce the family relationship in his or her family. This task-method breaks away from the traditional teaching approach and we can see it highly interests the students and drive them to perform it. The result of the task is highlighted by the improvement of the students’ integrated abilities.
Drama performance, one form of the task-based teaching approach, is a kind of task-giving activities in which the students are given some practical materials to act out. It aims at proving opportunities for the learners to experiment with and explore both spoken and writer language through tasks giving which are designed to engage learners in the authentic, practical and functional use of language for meaningful purposes. Though it makes more demanding for time and space, it is an essential way to improve the students’ ability of listening, speaking, writing and translating because when the students perform they must fire their own enthusiasm, listen, speak and act as well. And they also have a control of language in it. After a long time, the students will find the key to drive the language, and it is the time that they can use the language freely.  
                     
Ⅲ.Methodology
In an effort to get insights into the complex realities of such an implementation, a study was conducted, aiming to answer the following questions:
