摘要:本文是英语教学法论文,本文以骏景中学某英语教师的课堂教学为研究对象,分析分层教学中如何针对不同层次的学生设计课堂活动。
ts have a stronger thirst ofknowledge, higher enthusiasm of study and a better learning habit. Also, they like English sothat they can study hard in their own. In addition, they have a strong sense of practicalcommunication and English. There are 8 students in level A, accounting for 21% of the class.The characteristics of level B students: Level B students have good learning attitude anda desire to do better. They can achieve the average goal of each part, including listening,speaking, reading and writing. However, they do not have an extraordinary language skill inevery aspect or a deep understanding ability. Moreover, their sense of practical Englishcommunication is not strong enough and they are in a medium level of the class. In total, thereare 25 such students, accounting for 64% of the class.The characteristics of level C students: Level C students do not have a desire to study, oreven a good learning attitude. They have no interest in studying English or cannot continuefocusing on English when they come across a word or a sentence which is too difficult forthem. What’s more, they have varying degrees in giving up. This kind of students belongs tounderachievers or struggling students who have a difficulty in learning English.

Conclusion
The teacher and the students in the experimental class gained a lot from the group workactivities. The conclusion is based on the analysis of data from the pre-test and post-test andinterviews. The students in the experimental class benefited a lot in learning skills. Majorfindings of the present research and some limitations of the present thesis as well as thesuggestions for further study will be listed.After the teaching experiment, the author found that students’ learning effects haveimproved by applying group work because by comparing the data, the author found greatdifferences between control class and experimental class. It is agreed that the students in theexperimental class gained more in developing their English skills than that in the control class.Although students are commonly divided into heterogeneous groups which are more effective,homogeneous groups in this teaching experiment also did a good job. Most of the studentsbenefit a lot from group activities.Comparing the classroom performances, the number of students who are willing toparticipate in group activities is increasing. Role changing makes the students pay moreattention to classroom activities. Students are more than a knowledge perceiver in theclassroom that applies group activities. They can be organizers, promoters, etc. Taking part ingroup activities cultivates their responsibility.From the analysis of interviews, the teachers state that they feel a gradual change of thestudents. Teacher A states that the students of experimental class perform better than beforeand they get more confidence and sense of success.
