e assessed that to carry out a research work in some other country, researched have to sometimes rely on another local organization for conducting fieldwork and final choices of sample units (Taylor and Bain, 2005, pp. 266-267). On the other hand, before the organisations were finalized they were scrutinized under NASSCOM's (2002) directory and at the end seven companies were selected. Based on this, another point could as well be raised of biasness, as it is not evident whether NASSCOM provided the sample of companies without any personal interests or if the selected company was going to give true feedback or otherwise.

As mentioned earlier in the essay, the field work for data collection was done during January-February and June 2003 at different locations in India. This was done using a detailed questionnaire which was completed by the senior management, which almost got 250 responses out of a large sample size of 290. As per Bryman and Bell (2007) the auditing procedure should ensure and record the complete research process and has to be easily accessible, together with the participant's selection, interview transcripts and fieldwork notes (Bryman and Bell, 2007). This has been followed by the authors of this research to a great extent. On the other ground, as well, it could be seen that the researchers neither mentioned the result of these questionnaires nor they mentioned anywhere about the details of the contents of the questionnaires in the article. This creates a void and raise question mark on the method followed. However, the method of using qualitative semi structured interviews with senior management is quite beneficial, in case where there is a requirement of flexibility. Here the fundamental questions were related to call centre labour process only, but the interviewer can make some variation into the questions if required, thereby interviewee gets an opportunity to discuss in detail whatever is important, as well, if the interviewer needs some in-depth understanding of any particular issue (Brymen and Bell, 2007, p 213). Moreover, some formal interviews were taken of senior employee from NASSCOM and other industries, along with the informal interviews. These informal interviews were conducted during the conference at Mumbai. Along with this they observed training sessions and took part in group discussions with employee from two centres where they were not given access to. All the methods mentioned above are valid to the type of research as the authors were trying to analyse the details of call centre as well the experiences of the employee (Brymen and Bell, 2007, p 213). On the other hand if we see to the approach from a different perspective the research questions lacked clarity, as it was semi structured. As well there is no record of number of employees interviewed and the same was with the length of group discussions. Moreover, it has been mentioned in the essay that as the authors were not allowed to take interviews of workers on site due to confidentiality issues and to this they have mentioned that the group discussion were conducted outside the premised, to a certain extent, reduced the deficiency. This seems like the authors are compromising in the research processes.
