Against the Internet Replacing Travel Agencies
Abstract
The concept of a "global village" has become a reality in the last couple of years, as a result of the rapidly increasing usage of the internet: an estimated 30-40 million users are now active within this network, either as private individuals (e.g. for E-Mail or "Web Surfing"), or for business purposes.
The author is against the internet replacing travel agencies. However, the author considers that internet is a good tool for travel companies.
This paper will point out the main five reasons for why the internet shouldn’t replace travel agencies and will also give some suggestion for the use of the internet for travel agencies.
