As a new management model, knowledge management has been widespread applied in the organizations around the world in recent years and its contribution to the organizational core competitive power has been proved in various organizations, such as corporations, governments or scientific research institutions. However, due to the ignorance of the deep influence of organizational culture on organizational knowledge management, many knowledge management programs didn’t achieve the anticipated management target of an organization. In order to solve this problem, by using qualitative and quantitative research methods, the essay tries to find effective ways to improve organizational performance through the adaptation and innovation of organizational culture. This essay will firstly review the present research of the organizational culture in knowledge management and discuss the concepts and theories of organizational culture and knowledge management.
