摘要:本文是初中英语教学论文,通过比较分析 CBI 的四种模式和进一步讨论主题模式的特点和理论以及实际应用,本文认为主题模式更适合初中英语阅读教学并进行了应用研究。
In order to study the first research question about the influence of the theme-based model of CBI on English reading achievements of junior high school students, independent-samples t-test and paired-samples t-test in SPSS 21.0 are utilized to analyze students’ scores in the pre-test and the post-test.This independent-samples t-test is designed to see if the English reading performances of students in the CG and the EG are at the same level before the experiment, although the school employs parallel placement in class grouping. Only when there is no obvious difference between the two groups in English reading aspect, the implementation of the experiment makes sense. The results of the Independent-samples T-test are presented in Table 4.1 and Table 4.2.The basic descriptive statistics in this independent-samples t-test are shown in Table 4.1, from which we can obtain some basic information about the pre-test. The number of samples in the CG is 37 and it is 39 in the EG. The mean core of the CG is 33.62 and that of the EG is 33.23. The standard deviation of the CG is 11.154 and it is 11.338 in the EG. What is more, the standard error means of the two classes are quite close. One is 1.834 and the other is 1.816.
