In the later half of the 20thcentury, more and more people are joining the InformationAge through Internet. The world began to enter Internet period. With the improvement ofinformation technology, people can traverse of attitudes, ideas, and values across nationalborders. This sharing of ideas generally leads to an interaction and interconnectednessbetween peoples of various cultures and ways of life. The boundary between local versusglobal becomes blurry. The Americanization of a globalculture via mass media and technology might lead to political hegemony, intellectualcolonization and cultural imperialism and consequently diminish local identity.Because all the countries’ culture and economy in the global environment, it isinevitable that the development of local culture would be same to that of the global culturein some degrees, we can not prevent the entry of American culture into our native cultures,so we chose to be a member of the global market. Besides, these American cultures dowork effectively in the enrichment of our daily life. Until now, a lot of work has been doneby many scholars and social theorists on the relationship between cultural localization andcultural globalization, but most of them studied it from the angle of culture itself, thethesis aims to claim that relationship from English varieties of different countries. It has tobe stated out here that along with the development of cultural globalization, culturaldiversity is formed. Therefore, this thesis will take Malaysian English and Indian Englishof out circle, Japanese English and China English of out circle as instances ofglobalization products, discuss the relationship between cultural localization andglobalization.

Now ithas acted as an international language for both native and non-native speakers in thecommunication with the outside world other than their home land. The English languageundergoes a wide range of adapts and variation to the multi-cultural and multi-lingualcontexts in diverse regions and nations, which inevitably gives birth to various varieties ofEnglish with special local colors of the nation it reaches.
