expressionsin the selected materials?The first question is mainly about culture-loaded expressions. In the selectedmaterials, people can easily detect that in the political occasions, words and phraseswith Chinese political characteristics (like 引进来，走出去) are not the only one typeof culture-loaded expressions in the political talks. Instead, those old idioms, proverbs,poems are all mentioned in each of the selected materials (like 杀鸡取卵、竭泽而渔,etc). The author has categorized them into the following items: poems, old sayingsand proverbs, words and phrases with special Chinese cultural characteristics andwords and phrases with special Chinese political and social characteristics.The second question is about the coping strategies in interpreting. As has beenstated clear in the last chapter, the ones adopted most frequently are literal interpreting,literal interpreting with necessary explanation and borrowing. These three types ofcoping strategies are in line of the specific category of culture-loaded expressions. Forexample, for those can find equivalent expressions in English with the same nouns,verbs and images, literal interpreting can be adopted. While for those which cannotfind the equivalent expressions, then some necessary explanation is needed. Orsometimes, the interpreter can just omit them or replace them with other expressions.The most coincident occasion is that for one proverb or idiom, there is an equivalentEnglish expression just with the different images, such as the example we havementioned in ―冰冻三尺非一日之寒‖. This coping strategy is called borrowingwhich is also very effective in interpreting process.The third question is about the application of Skopos Theory in the interpretingof culture-loaded expressions in the interpreting of political affairs. This question hasbeen answered in the last chapter. At the end of last chapter, the author has made adetailed analysis about how different rules are adopted in the interpreting process.Here‘s a brief conclusion. For the skopos rule, which is also the dominant rule in thetheory, the author has analyzed that in each interpreting of culture-loaded words, theinterpreter has strictly obeyed this rule. And one of the basic skopos in interpreting ofpolitical affairs is that the target text should stand for the speaker‘s view and image ofthe nation or organization that the speaker represents for. As a result, the target textshould be in formal language rather than very colloquial and the target text ofimportance of the culture-loaded expressions. Through the evaluation, the interpretershould choose which strategy to adopt, such as omission, guess, etc.

6.2 Suggestions for Future Studies

Upon the findings in this research, the author also intends to make somesuggestion for further studies on the interpreting of culture-loaded expressions in theinterpreting of political affairs. Firstly, the scope of selected materials can beexpanded from Chinese to English interpreting. People can also conduct a research onthe English to Chinese interpreting, since those culture-loaded expressions in Englishin very different from those in Chinese in different formats. Especially whenconcerning about the ancient religious stories, it is really hard for interpreters toexplain it clear in such a short time, since Chinese people will be totally unawareabout the names in those expressions.
