摘要:本文是大学英语教学论文,本研究试图采用抛锚式教学模式探讨大学英语写作教学中抛锚式教学模式的应用效果,以期对大学英语写作教学有所帮助。三个目标是达到抛锚式教学在大学英语写作的干扰后,要具体,学生的学习动机得到提升,他们的协作学习中的责任得到强化,与写作成绩在测试中需要改进。
Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Research Background
In college English classes, writing has long been considered as tough in teaching and learning. The significance of writing has been addressed by many researchers, for example, writing’s uniqueness as one of learning models has been pointed out by Emig (1977), while Hyland (2003) argues that writing should play an important role, especially in the field of second language acquisition and foreign language teaching. Apart from that, English as an international language tool plays a more and more important role in modern societies with the development of international communities. The importance of writing can be seen from the role it plays in a wide range of tests home and abroad, for example, College English Test Band4(CET-4), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a foreign Language (TOEFL), etc. It has been testified that writing has been one of the major ways for prestigious institutions or enterprises to select talents.In order to meet the great demand and need of the society for qualified personnel in the new era, colleges and universities should take the responsibilities to guide students to develop their writing abilities and to cultivate the critical thinking in the meantime. However, the reality is English writing teaching remains the most difficult part of English education in China despite the intense studies concerning English writing teaching in recent years. There exist a lot of problems in students’ learning, the way they receive instruction and assessment, for example, some students haven’t fully realized the goals of English learning and the importance of writing, which affected their attitudes toward writing. Some students lack of knowledge and strategies about writing and are not aware that writing is a complicated process with a series of procedures such as reading and discussing before writing, outlining, drafting, editing, evaluating and revising. A variety of mistakes can be found in students’ composition, which makes them gradually lose interest and confidence in writing. Furthermore, many English learners who have rich vocabulary and do well in grammar tests, yet for whom writing remains the main barrier. However, it has been confirmed that learners could be cultivated to improve their writing abilities in a foreign language under a full-scale training and guidance. Therefore, the main task of the English writing teaching is how to combine the language knowledge with writing skills and how to internalize the knowledge of the English language.
