Onone hand, this study helps teachers to find a new way of overcoming students’difficulties in English writing. On the other hand, Interactive Language Teachingnot only contributes to cultivating students’ writing competence, thus improvingtheir performance in exams, but also enhances students’ ability in usinglanguage. literature review
The application of Interactive Language Teaching plays a vital role inlanguage teaching, especially in college English writing. Therefore, this chapterintroduces detailed literature review on Interactive Language Teaching andcollege English writing at home and abroad, including the introduction ofInteractive Language Teaching, college English writing and their relationship,aiming to establish a comprehensive understanding of the present study.
2.1 Interactive Language Teaching
In this section, an extensive introduction, consisting of the definition,patterns, theoretical foundation and the previous studies of Interactive LanguageTeaching will be presented.Interaction is a concept derived from the field of social psychology tolanguage teaching. The term “interaction”, which is first proposed by Simmel(1908), a German sociologist, in the book Sociology, means a process used toexchange emotion, pass information between two people, in order to make animpact on both. Meanwhile, Simmel asserts that interaction must be based onmutual interest, namely, both the speaker and the listener should concentrate onthe transmitted information which they are interested in.Mead (1934), an American sociologist, first puts forward SymbolicInteraction Theory. Based on the opinion that interaction is one of the coreconcepts of Symbolic Interaction Theory, Mead depicts interaction as asignificant action, by which both individual and the society can make continuousconversations. Once an action is endowed with meaning, it becomes a symbol. Itis symbolic interaction that proves to be the essential characteristics of humanbehavior.

2.2 College English Cooperative Writing
Writing is a complex mental productive process as well asan overall system. It is made up of four systems: subject, object, carrier andreceptor, which respectively refers to the author of the article, the object ofwriting, the language of the article and the readers. Writing, as a kind ofbehavior process depicted by Xu Fang (2012), generally includes three stages:perception, conception and expression. After a long period of writing practice,people recognize the essential attribute of the writing process, then put it up inthe theoretical level and make a scientific summary.In the first place, in writing, perception stage is the initial stage.Controlled by writing consciousness, and after continuous repeatedaccumulation, people’s perception and absorption of the phenomenon of both theobjective world and information finally become the object of writing. Then afterthe author’s consideration and speculation, they are finally determined to be thepurpose and contents of writing.In the second
