摘要:本文是大学英语论文,本文以定性的个案研究的方法,基于多稿,由三名非英语专业学生的问卷调查和访谈记录,本研究试图揭示大学生使用的作文自动评分系统的反馈来自三个方面:他们做出修改,方法和策略运用与他们见面困难。
In this part, the findings for research question 1-What revisions do students make to their text using automated essay scoring system feedback from Juku system ?-will be presented and discussed. Based on text analysis, the results of coding are summarized in the following table. The above table shows that generally speaking, most of the changes between multiple drafts take place in the field of style, that is, in the field of language use. Only a very small percentage of changes take place in content and structure. This phenomenon might be explained by the following three reasons:For Chinese students, English is a foreign language. And the main purpose for them to conduct English writing exercise is to improve their language proficiency level. Therefore, students usually focus their attention mainly on language use. Student 2 gave the following explanation in the interview:In fact, I even don’t know that I need to make changes of content and structure on my essays.The feedbacks from my teachers were mainly about grammatical correction and words and expressions. I rarely got suggestions about the content and structure of my essays. I think the main purpose of writing examination is to make sure that we can use English correctly. I do not think the teachers really want to know about our opinions about the topic. Therefore, I paid little attention to improve my content of essays.
