g class, and so they became powerful in exercising influence over their ideas and opinions.
 2.2 The Background of Feminism
In October, 1789, France, a group of feminists went to Paris, hand in petition to the National Assembly, ask for equates treat as men. This is the start of feminism movement. And the Bronte Sisters lived in such a time. Women wanted to break through the shackles of tradition. They required that they should have the same right as men. Ever since, feminism movement spread among the European countries.
In the first half of the 19th century, there was no strong feminism movement happened in the Birth society. But, some of the women had work in the society, they have a low status, such problems appeared in many field. The feeling of the society became an important part of Bronte sisters’ lives. In the nineteen forties, feminism was still at the incubation stage. It is this time that Bronte sisters published their works. They recovered the fact that women’s bad condition, created several bolshies characters to encourage the women. So, they played a very important role in the preparation stage of British women movement.

ⅢThe Bronte Sisters and Their Attitudes towards Woman’s Sense of Independence
The story of the Bronte’s is one of the saddest in the annals of literature. They were the children of a father who was both cold and violent, and of a gentle, sickly mother, early lost. They were reared amid the most gloomy and unhealthful surroundings, and cursed as they grew older with a brother who brought them shame and sorrow in return for the love they lavished upon him. Their very genius seemed a product of disease, and often their finest pages are marked by a bitter savor of their origin. Their stories deal with suffering, endurance, or rebellion against fate; with violence, crime and punishment.
One feature of Bronte sisters’ work was that the heroine was completely independent in the social life. Some of them were orphan, some of them were abandoned. They were lonely; they had to work for living, and had their own characteristics
Bronte sisters build an independent woman image. That was a great contribute to the British women literature. It showed that the women's liberation movement was developing in Britain.
3.1 Charlotte and Her Attitude towards Woman’s Sense of Independence.
Charlotte, as her heroine in the work, was a independent woman. She was chasing for spiritual life, wish living in a happy world that no prejudice. She was a hardworking girl; she did her best to advance. Fought against the disease; fought against the adversity; fought against the banal perception; fought for freedom.
3.1.1 Her Life Experiences.
She was the third daughter born to Maria Branwell (1783-1821) and Anglican clergyman of Irish descent Patrick Bronte (1777-1861). Growing up in Victorian England, Charlotte and her sisters were inspired by the Romantic authors of the time including Sir Walter Scott, William Wordsworth and Lord George Gordon Byron. As sisters and authors, Charlotte, Emily and Anne gave each other moral support, shared creative ideas and proof-read one another’s work.
In 1835, Charlotte herself was teaching at Roe Head and she helped pay for Emily’s schooling there. As the oldest of the Bronte authors, Charlotte approached her writing career 论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
