A. OBJECTIVES
To demonstrate the student's:
a) 留学生论文网ability to obtain financial and non-financial information for strategic planning and operation purposes from a case study;
b) analytical and integrative skills to solve a computer-based business problem with sound systems and data integrity; and
c) spreadsheet development and design skills.
B LATE assignment POLICY
a) All assignments must be handed in by the due date. An assignment handed in after the due date will incur a penalty unless:
(i) Your performance has been affected by factors beyond your control, such as illness, injury, childbirth or bereavement; and
(ii) The Course Co-ordinator has agreed to extend the time for completion of the assignment.
b) An assignment handed in after the due date, where an extension of time has not been granted by the Course Co-ordinator, will incur a penalty of 20% of your total marks for that assignment for each day that the office of the School of Business and Computer Technology is open, after the due date.
C. STUDENTS SHOULD TAKE CARE TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the inclusion in your assignment of material copied or closely paraphrased from someone else’s writings (including textbooks and assignments by other students) without an explicit indication of the source of the material. It is considered to be cheating. Although the School encourages discussion amongst students, students who collaborate should be careful not to plagiarise.
Penalties for plagiarism
NMIT takes a serious view of plagiarism. Even when you are not intending to cheat, it is clear that submitting someone else’s work or ideas is not evidence of your own understanding of the material and cannot earn you marks. Penalties for plagiarism can extend from a zero grade for the assignment plagiarised to imposing an overall coursework grade of zero in the course concerned.
How to avoid plagiarism
The work and ideas of other people must be acknowledged in your Bibliography in APA style. Information on this can be found in Emerson, L. (Ed.). (2000). Writing guidelines for business students. (2nd ed.). Palmerston North: The Dunmore Press.
D. INFORMATION
You should read the case study carefully before planning your response to the requirements that follow.
Projects are set to challenge you to read widely and think carefully about the topic, to bring you to consider new ideas and to reflect on your own experience in the light of these ideas. You should also generate, integrate and reorganise material into clear, concise, and well-organised statements.
You should decide on how much time you could reasonably allocate to the preparation of the project. Then divide this up so that you allow time for thinking about the topic, reading, planning your response, structuring and developing your spreadsheet, preparing and writing your report, and proof-reading the final version to hand in on the due date.
It is likely that you will need to make many changes to your project before your final copy is completed. You should therefore try and put pen to paper (and finger to keyboard) as quickly as possible. The act of starting overcomes an important psychological barrier. The final copy should be carefully proofread before handing in. There shoul本论文由英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写,英语论文代写,代写论文,代写英语论文,代写留学生论文,代写英文论文,留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
