摘要:本文是高中英语教学论文,通过对实验数据的分析和讨论,研究结果发现,在英语阅读教学过程中有意识地使用衔接连贯理论对学生的阅读技巧进行训练可以更有效地改善学生的阅读兴趣;并且衔接连贯理论能有效的提高学生的阅读成绩。

This chapter presents the process of data analysis and discussion. Analysis data is an essential part in the research which is dependent on the results. The results of the experiment aim to demonstrate whether Cohesion and Coherence Theory can be applied to the English reading. In this study, two kinds of data can be shown. First is the analysis and discussion of the questionnaires, which are to examine the change of the students’ interest in English reading. Second is the analysis and discussion of the tests. Compared the pre-test with the post-test in EC and CC is to verify the change of students’ score.
4.1 Data analysis and discussion of questionnaire
The two same questionnaires are carried out in CC and EC before and after the experiment. Then the thorough analysis of the pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire are provided individually. The comparison of the two questionnaires is to verity whether the students in EC improve their English reading interest with the guidance of the Cohesion and Coherence Theory.The aim of the pre-questionnaire is to investigate whether the levels of English reading interest in CC and EC before the experiment are similar. This questionnaire has 4 dimensions and each dimension has 5 questions. In order to make the questionnaire more credible and accurate, all the students in CC and EC are required to do the questionnaire. The data analysis is shown as follow:

Conclusion
Reading takes a great proportion to English for senior high school students. However, in English reading course of senior high school, the majority of teachers pay much attention to the grammatical structure and vocabulary, neglecting the integrity of the whole text structure. Owing to this situation, the experiment based on Cohesion and Coherence Theory is putting into effect. Besides, there are some positive results through applying the new theory in senior high school. This chapter is the conclusion of the whole thesis after the experiment. The conducted experiment is mainly to prove that the teaching method based on Cohesion and Coherence Theory to English reading can help students motivate their reading interest and reading scores.
