摘要:阅读理解是高中最重要的部分之一,也是测试的关键部分。学生易学的语言和文化,主要是通过阅读,因此,良好的阅读能力,学生的英语学习是非常必要的。

Chapter 1 Introduction


随着全球化的迅猛发展,英语的国家,甚至人在通信中起着更加重要的作用。因此,英语教育质量是关系到中国的和平的FOL国际环境的发展。近年来,中国的英语教育已取得快速发展,无论是在教学理论和教材的编写。然而,我们也观察到的影响,传统的应试教育和高考制度的存在,使广大英语教师和英语教育工作者仍然在使用传统的灌输教育。他们认为,英语教学是教给学生的英语语言知识和技能,但忽视了英语文化的渗透。因此,在中国广大的英语教师仍然认为词汇和语法的学习,在英语阅读教学中最重要的部分。我们非常高兴,与跨文化交际的频繁,大多数人认识到文化和语言之间的密切关系。英语学习不仅只是停留在语言的水平,但也有双重语言和文化学习的过程。With the rapid development of globalization,English plays more and moreimportant role in the communication of countries and even persons. So the EnglishEducation quality is related to China's development in the peacefol internationalenvironment. In recent years, English education in China has acquired rapiddevelopment both in teaching theory and textbook compilation. However,we alsoobserve the impact of traditional exam-oriented education and the existing of collegeentrance examination system, so the majority of English teachers and English educatorsare still using traditional instilled education. They believe that English teaching is toteach students the English language knowledge and skills, but neglect the penetration ofEnglish culture. So the majority of English teachers in China still consider vocabularyand grammar learning as the most important part in the English reading teaching. To ourgreat delight, with the frequent cross-cultural communication, most people come torealize the close relationship between culture and language. English Learning not onlysimply stays in the level of language, but also a dual process of language and culturelearning. 由中国教育部颁发的英语课程标准明确指出:培养学生的文化意识和跨文化交际能力的需要。正如我们都知道,学习语言的语言环境是分不开的,中国学生缺乏地道的英语环境,发现理论阅读是英语学习的主要途径。然而,这是真的理解一篇文章的词汇和语法手段,掌握了大量?事实已经证明的观点是错误的。语言是文化的载体,不同的语言反映了不同的文化。英语学习的目的是跨文化交际,而且还能培养学生的跨文化交际能力的英语。在跨文化交际,它很容易使喇叭误解对方的想法,甚至无法理解的想法,如果他们无法进入相同的文化背景。在高中英语阅读教学中,这是很难理解或不能正确理解词汇和语法知识的基础上的文章,但没有文化背景知识的意义。The English curriculum standard was issued by the China's Education Ministryclearly pointed out the need of developing students' culture awareness and cross-culturalcommunication ability. As we all known,the language learning is inseparable from thelanguage environment, the Chinese students lack the authentic English environment,sothe reading is their main approach of English learning. However, is it true that to mastera large number of vocabulary and grammar means understanding an article? Fact hasproved the view is wrong. Language is the carrier of culture, different language reflectsdifferent culture. The purpose of English learning is cross-cultural communication, andalso to develop students' cross-cultural communication ability in English. In aCross-cultural communication, it's easy to make speakers misunderstand each other'sidea even can't understand the idea if they can't enter a same cultural background. InEnglish reading teaching of senior high school,it's difficult to understand or can notcorrectly understand the meaning of the article only based on the vocabulary andgrammar knowledge, but no cultural background knowledge.
Now,after many years' teaching experience, based on their own teaching theoriesand methods, they have come to realize that cultural background knowledge might be the most important factor that caused students' poor reading comprehension. Generallyspeaking,students try to comprehend a text relying on their prior knowledge and lifeexperience. Therefore the major factor affecting their comprehension is lack of priorknowledge.
