摘要:本文是高中英语论文,本研究是在前人研究和研究的基础上进行的。作者的主要研究方法,即定性和定量相结合的方法。本文由两个研究工具:问卷调查和访谈。这项研究有两个目的。首先,本研究旨在探讨高中学生英语写作焦虑的概况。其次,本研究将发现英语对写作过程中写作焦虑的原因。

This part pays attention to solving the following questions. Thefirst question is to find the general situation of English writing anxiety of high schoolstudents. The third question is to find the causes of the high school students’ Englishwriting anxiety. The first question is solved by analyzing the descriptive statistics forhigh school students’ English writing anxiety. The writer takes the high schoolstudents in grade one in Qu Zhou high school as participants. The second question issolved by analyzing the interview of the high school students.

4.1 Reliability of the Questionnaire

Before doing the actual study of the writing anxiety, the author measures thereliability of the questionnaire to check whether the adopted questionnaire can betruly act as the instrument of this study. When making analysis of the reliability of thequestionnaire, the author needs to investigate the Cronbach’s coefficient alpha. It canbe used to measure internal consistency of the translated questionnaire.In this study, there are 100 high school students in grade one in Qu Zhou highschool as the research subjects. At the same time, the author finds that the coefficientalpha is relatively high. As the table 3.1 shows that the coefficient alpha is .87 in thisstudy, which is above the .80. Based on the final coefficient alpha, it proves that thereis a good internal consistency of all the 22 items of the writing anxiety questionnaire.The writing anxiety questionnaire is translated into Chinese. In other words, thetranslated questionnaire is reliable for measuring the general situation of Englishwriting anxiety of high school students. The questionnaire is reliable for the statisticanalysis and can be used for further analysis in the present study.

Conclusion

In the previous chapter, the study analyses the collected data. Based on thediscussion of the data, this chapter will introduce the findings and the results of thecollected data about the English writing anxiety. Then this chapter will put forwardsome suggestions to students to reduce their writing anxiety. Last, this chapter willintroduce the limitations and suggestions for the further study.To many ESL learners, the English writing actually can arouse their writinganxiety. The study of this paper intends to investigate the general situation of seniorhigh school students’ English writing anxiety and the causes of English writinganxiety. According to the quantitative data of the questionnaire and the qualitativedata of interview, there are the major findings:(1) In the process of English writing, there exists English writing anxiety amongmost of high school students. At the same time, the general situation of Englishwriting anxiety of students in Qu Zhou high school is of moderate level. Generallyspeaking, English writing anxiety is composed of three sub-parts. They are somaticanxiety, cognition anxiety and avoidance behavior. Among the three kinds of writinganxiety, high school students are easily affected by the avoidance behavior. Highschool students have the highest level of avoidance behavior and the lowest level ofsomatic anxiety.(2) When it refers to the causes of English writing anxiety, the author finds fourmain reasons.
