e to think about a project.
By the second session students should have some idea of the project they wish to undertake, and should come with a one-side A4 description and discuss their ideas with the local projects tutor.
By the final session students should have prepared draft Terms of
Reference. They should also have read, and made
notes on, the example report by Mason. What are the good points of this report? How might it be improved? The report, and the commentary should then be discussed with students after the report writing lecture.
Lectures eight and nine are concerned with writing up and the viva. It may help to revise these lectures towards the end of the project.
