Yahoo plans layoff after profit plunges
From the news on CNET (2009), Yahoo planed to cut about 5 percent of its employees facing a profit drop of 78 percent for the first quarter of 2009, which was really a bad news to the current society. Now, Yahoo was struggling with the effect on online advertising service, which was a great income to Yahoo. If the profit is so limited, the company is unable to support a huge expense. Facing the great decrease in such service and the equal cost, layoff some employees is the most direct and effective way for Yahoo. It was really an immediate, drastic change to any company.
