Purpose statement 目的陈述
The purpose of this study was to discuss the impact of HRM of Beijing's high-star hotels on the employees’ sense of accomplishment, a sense of fairness and a sense of security, and then affecting the employees’ turnover intention. Research outcome of this
thesis will help management of high-star hotels in Beijing to understand the factors in their HRM strategies that reduce the employees’ sense of accomplishment, a sense of fairness, a sense of security and lead to their high staff turnover rate. Findings of this study can help them take proper measures in terms of compensation management, employee training and corporate culture in order to address the problem of staff turnover.
Aim 目的
An enterprise’s deficiency in HRM (such as salary management, corporate culture, staff training) will drive employee turnover, but it should be noted that HRM is very complex and involves many aspects, not deficiency in each aspect will affect the generation of employee turnover decision-making (Shanshan, Wilco & Eric, 2011). Roshnee and Fowdar (2007) believed that whether an employee is loyal for the company depends on whether the staff is passionate about the work he undertakes (a sense of achievement), whether he obtains a fair and equitable treatment (a sense of fairness) within the company, whether he can get more development and promotion opportunities (a sense of accomplishment and a sense of fairness), whether he is in the working environment of mutual trust and motivation among (a sense of security), and so on. Therefore, the author believed that only the HRM strategies which reduce employees’ sense of accomplishment, fairness and security will be the key factors that may lead to employee turnover. Based on the above analysis, the author but forward the research purpose of this thesis, that was to understand the impact of HRM of high -star hotels in Beijing, China on the employees’ sense of accomplishment, fairness and security to analyze the reasons for the high staff turnover rate, based on this to propose targeted recommendations.
Problem statement 问题陈述
In this study, it aimed to study the impact of HRM of high-star hotels in Beijing on the high turnover rate of their employees, the HRM strategies which would reduce staff’s sense of accomplishment, a sense of fairness and a sense of security would be the critical factors that may lead to employee turnover.
Therefore, the research problem of this thesis was to study the impact of salary management, employee training and corporate culture of high-star hotels in Beijing on the staff’s sense of fairness, accomplishment and security, thereby affecting the staff’s turnover intention.
Objectives 目标
Based on research aim and problem statement, this study put forward the following research objectives.
Objective 1: to explore the impact of salary management system of high-star hotels in Beijing on the employees’ sense of accomplishment, a sense of fairness and a sense of security;
