2.0 Introduction to Strategy
This chapter of the module gives an overview of the strategic context currently affecting construction.
It describes the variations in business priorities affecting all organisations and how these and other
forces are continuing to change in construction. It also introduces the concept of the business processparadigm. At this stage, we are not looking at the detail of techniques of strategy and process analysis– this will follow later. Having studied it, you will understand the overall significance of the techniquesand concepts, which will be explained in detail later.
