On Junior Middle School English Listening Comprehension Cultivation

2. Thesis Statement
With the economic development of the world and China’s implantation of the Reform and Opening up policy and entry to the WTO(World Trade Organization), English become more and more important for us. . At present, the teaching of English listening in junior high school faces many problems. This paper discusses the problems and give some solutions.
3. Purposes and Significance of Study
With the economic development of the world and China’s implantation of the Reform and Opening up policy and entry to the WTO(World Trade Organization), English become more and more important for us. So, learning English well is necessary for students. But, there are many obstacles in process of students’ learning English.
In order to solve this problem, this paper attempts to explore the problems and come up with some solutions to improve the listening level of junior middle school students.

 

4. Situation of Study
Krashen(1994) pointed to studies showing that the length of time a person stays in a foreign country is closely linked with their level of language acquisition.
Krashen(1981) claims that such sequencing, as found in language classrooms where lessons involve practicing a "structure of the day", is not necessary, https://www.51lunwen.org/kaitibaogao/ and may even be harmful.
Anderson(1992) pointed out that according to skill-building theory, subconscious language knowledge is gained by practicing language until it becomes automatic.

 

5. Difficulty of Study
     Listening comprehension is not only related to students’ hearing level, but also related to vocabulary, grammar, cultural background and so on. It is a all-around subject. So, we must know the problems is caused by which part. So we should study the situation students learning English deeply. And, collecting the materials and information about the theories is difficult thing for my limited time energy.
