Ⅰ. Introduction
 The English language never stands still. Like the flowing river, it is alive and flows day and night, with new words, new meanings and new usages. The change which constantly exists in a living language can be seen in the vocabulary. There are three types of words: new words, old words and existing words. With the passing time, old words disappear, new words are added and existing words change. Therefore, the vocabulary of English language is in the state of continuous variety. When people are surprised at the development of Science and technology, science English neologisms have appeared and enlarged. According to the statistic of the magazine "The Barnhart Dictionary Companion", the science English neologisms and new meanings which are input into the computers reach 1500 to 1600. For example, “remote sensing satellite” and “multistage rocket” appear in spaceflight field; “ecoactivist”, “environmentalist” and “ecocatastrophe” appear in biological field. As the media of spreading knowledge and delivering information, language experiences the neologism explosion. As the first language, English has become the widestly used language in the world, especially in the computer and aerospace fields. Furthermore, China has launched the SHENZHOU Ⅶ. People are familiar gradually with the science English neologisms and the scientists have to learn it. Due to the wide use of English, the difference of the science English neologism in different fields and scopes is extremely large. In the recent 50 years, the old science English has been weeded out and the new science theories, discoveries and inventions have appeared to adapt to the rapid development of science. The science English neologism is made by creations or transferring from the old words.
 There are a number of newspapers and magazines about science written in English. By understanding the science English neologism, people can be quickly inspired in the aspects of listening and speaking, reading and writing. This thesis will help people understand and translate the complicated and specific science English neologism from the new views.
 
  Ⅱ. The Causes for the Development of Science English Neologism
 New words are being invented or produced all the time. Sometimes a new word is produced by a single person only, in some special situation. Sometimes a new word is created by a group of people, who research in math or biology. When a new product is made, a new conception comes into man’s thought, and a new name must be found, that is, a new word appears in the language.
2.1 The Development of Science and Technology
People are in such situation where computers and electric equipment surround them. In a decade, science and technology have stepped forward and many new subjects appear. It brings numerous neologisms. Science and technology are the most important source of new words. Modern science and technology contain many new branches apart form the existing fields. The appearance of new branches in modern science and technology gives rise to a great number of new words.
Computer and deep space have great influence on neologism. People work and learn through computer. It becomes the essential part of life. Some people cannot live without computer which is widely used in the modern society.
