Conclusion

Although the present tentative study has provided some theoretical and practicalimplications for English learning and teaching, as mentioned above, the limitations areinevitable due to the limited time, fund, personnel, and literature resources. They are reflectedin the following aspects:The samples. As mentioned previously, the participants of the present study were selectedfrom different majors in Wuhan Technical College of Communications, whose number iscomparatively small, with only 154 subjects left in the final sample. Meanwhile, the number ofthe female and the male is not equal. Therefore this may affect the accuracy of results of thestudy. In addition, due to the limited time, fund and personnel, speaking skills can not beconducted in the present study. At the same time, the participants can not be assured that noneof them cheated in the exam although two teachers monitored them in every classroom.
Duration. The present study investigates the English attrition three months after thecompletion of the systematical English training. However, the researcher could not afford toobserve all the subjects during the three months for the limited time, fund, and personnel.
