As the study of meaning in language, verbal humor is a kind of communication of conversational implicature, the discussion of denotation and  connotation  is  one  of  the  basic  tasks  of  pragmatics  and  pragmatic  inference. Therefore, verbal humor is an inevitable important issue in pragmatics study. Finally, the author devotes to find out the charm of verbal humor interpreted by CP  and  its  four  sub-maxims.  The  detailed  study  of  verbal  humor  can  help  learners have  a  better  understanding  of  the  conversational  implicature,  it  can  also  improve verbal  communication  ability  and  has  a  far-reaching  significance  in  literature, aesthetics,  anthropology,  culturology  and  relative  humanistic  disciplines.  Thus,  it  is worth careful study.

2.1 The Definition of Humor
Humor  or  humour  (see  spelling  differences) is  the  cognitive  experience  special cause  laughter  and  entertainment  tendency.  Humoral medicine from ancient Greece, where  the teachings of the  term concluded  that fluid balance in the  body known as humors (Latin: humor, 'body fluid'), control human health and emotion.
