y refers to the “conceptual metaphor”, using a relatively concrete source domain to know a relatively abstract target domain, namely mapping from the source domain to target domain. “Conceptual metaphor” must be different from “the language form of metaphor” or “metaphor expression”. “metaphor expression” is the embodiment of the language form of a particular “conceptual metaphor”. In addition, the conceptual metaphors are typical and systemic.
As for the Language there are a lot of human emotional words, emotion is the abstract experience, and it is part of the cognitive, mostly of metaphor. Cognitive metaphor theory believes that metaphor in the conceptualization of emotion plays an important role in the process (Kovecses, 2000). Humanity's common physical structure (sensory and physical structure) and similar experience knowledge and objective provide the good foundation for the feelings of cross-linguistic and cross-cultural generality and translatability of metaphor, cultural differences are reflected in the language and concepts at the same time two levels. Cultural characteristics cause the differences between cross-cultural emotional metaphor system and the difficulties of the translation studies. Therefore, to study emotional metaphor translation can be from the perspective of cognitive, and consider metaphor translation as a concept - language –culture phenomenon, to tage the culture as a variable, discusses the two aspects: the concept of emotional metaphors structure level and language level.
So far, the study of metaphor translation from the perspective of conceptual metaphors are based on a particular peer between conceptual metaphor and embodiment of conceptual metaphors of metaphor language level of equivalence. Many scholars do a lot of researches on the different cultural contrast between emotional metaphor system, but for emotional metaphor translation is still few.
This article is from cognitive Angle especially the emotional metaphor characteristics of systemic study of the translator in dealing with the concept of metaphor structure (conceptual metaphors) and based on the concept of metaphor language expression from two aspects of transformation of the selected strategies. And on the basis of which the research question of this article: if only there is a conceptual metaphors in the source language culture, so in the translation process of conceptual metaphors and metaphorical language, then how to deal with it? Whether to use a different conceptual metaphors? Or other strategies? Is there a regularity in it? Or what are the strategy judgment and the processing methods? Also, boldly put forward my own hypothesis that whether we can according to the characteristics of the emotional metaphor of systemic (“ emotion is the event “, “emotion is power”, the concept of emotional dimension, conceptual metonymy, emotional cognitive model) of the macro level and is not restricted to a particular conceptual metaphors to grasp? Hope make contribution to the research of emotion metaphor translation.
