They are two forces, alike by origin and yet seemingly polar in nature. The vampire in its carnal, bestial image deeply contrasts the more civilized deception presented by the Antichrist. And yet, there are bridges between the gaps. In fact, it seems as though they were two halves cut from the same primordial cloth, separated only in nature. Is it merely coincidence that the vampire and the Antichrist share birthrights, powers, and characteristics? What of the similarity in words associated with each within our vocabulary? Perhaps there is something true to Jung's theory in repressed memories and the collective unconscious. Perhaps we have chosen to transfer the most terrifying part of the Antichrist to another being, one that by its very nature embodies this terror. Both the vampire and the Antichrist are described as being the spawn of Satan and a virgin, obviously mirroring the conception of Christ.
