摘要:As we all know that restricted by the long-term test-oriented trend, English educationhas gradually lost its original purpose. English language learning should not be a test-orientededucation, especially the oral one.

in that kind ofEnglish class, English teaching is almost filled with vocabulary or grammar rules. As a result,the students are lack of the capability of using English flexibly in the communicativesituations. In recent years, people aware that this situation is wrong. They have been clearlyaware that the importances of language learning are to use it, to speak it, to communicate withit. In order to reach this purpose, practice becomes more and more important. The more thelanguage is used, the better it is spoken. So, for the four skills for English learning--- listening,speaking, reading and writing; in the author’s mind, they are all used to serve an importantskill for English learning, it’s practicing. This practical character of English learningdetermines that English classes should not only pursue the background of the knowledgelearning itself, but should pay more attention to practice it, especially for the spoken purpose.That’s why we often emphasize the importance of the quality education today.

2 Literature Review


2.1 Researches on Oral Tourism English Teaching
Being one of the four basic skills of English learning, speaking plays an important role.Frankly speaking, it can reflect one’s English proficiency directly, which is bound up withjob-hunting, social communication etc. On the other hand, it is productive skill together withwriting, and language learners produce output through it. According to Swain’s “OutputHypothesis” and Long’s “Interactional Hypothesis”, language learners’ output is significant inthe process of second language acquisition (SLA). Thus, speaking can also facilitate languageacquisition. And many English learners consider spoken English ability as one of theirPrimary goals of study (Harlow and Mugshens, 1994). For the other two basic skills ofEnglish learning --- listening and reading, people see them as receptive skills. These four skillscomplement each other, and they are indispensable. When we have plenty of Englishknowledge input, we can just shift it to the better output. For example, only when we listen toothers and fully understand their meaning can we express clear and perfect expressions orviews to ourselves and others. In the same way, more reading serves writing better. In anotherword, we can draw our inspirations in writing when we read as many similar materials aspossible. Language communication follows the procedures as below: first, information wasinput into our brains after listening and reading, internalized in our brains, and came tofeedback; second, the feedback of our brains would be expressed by speaking and writing.Now it’s clearly that oral English is a form of communication. By communication,English vocabularies are combined with a variety of expressions. We all know that all theEnglish words are made up with the twenty vowels and twenty-eight consonants. And thewords are expressed to help people understand each other clearly through speaking. Thenfrom the syntactical meaning, they made sentences and expressions. Thus, the vocabulary,syntax and the speech sounds are defined as particular natural oral English.

2.2 Researches on the Types of Teaching Methods
