Dissertation Title: Using Baudrillard ‘s theory of collecting analyze the situation of contemporary art market in China Chapter 1 Introduction It is difficult to summarize the recently decades Chinese contemporary art history. It involves numerous artists, art events, and different areas, for instance, like government, cultural, policy, news Medias and collection practices etc… However, the researcher is influenced by European ideas, it is a good way to prepare the analyzing base from some influential people’s theories, for example, Jean Baudrillard. Quote to the use of psychoanalytic terminology in his study, Some of Baudrillard’s theory can be summarized by the researcher and motivate Chinese contemporary art market.
