Learning Outcome 2: Developing Marketing Objectives, Strategies and Tactics
Based on the situation analysis completed for the business selected in Assignment 1.
1 Develop a mission statement and at least three (3) marketing objectives for the business. The marketing objectives need to clearly express what the marketing plan is to achieve.
2 Describe your selected target market(s) and develop positioning strategies for your target market(s).
3 Using Ansoff’s Grid, Porter’s Generic Strategies and the Arthur D. Little (ADL) Matrix, recommend at least three (3) strategies that could be implemented to achieve your objectives. For each strategy recommended, explain how it will achieve the business objectives.
4 Analyse existing product tactics and make recommendations.
5 Analyse existing pricing tactics and recommend relevant changes to the existing pricing strategies.
6 Analyse existing distribution tactics and make recommendations.
7 Analyse existing promotion tactics and make recommendations.
