Is the US winning in Iraq?
 
Introduction
The Iraq War broke out on March 20, 2003 and the Saddam regime was overthrew on April 9. On May 1, 2003, U.S. President George W. Bush announced that the U.S. military at Iraq's main military action was ended. However, On December 20, 2006, U.S. President George W. Bush acknowledged that the United States did not win the war in Iraq for the first time. He also said the United States has not lost the war (The Iraq Crisis - An Overview, 2006). On February 27, 2009, U.S. President Barack Obama announced that the United States will withdraw the majority of troops from Iraq in the next 18 months, ending the combat mission in Iraq. As the first part of the new strategy the withdrawal plan includes withdrawing the majority of troops from Iraq at August 31 next year and 代写留学生论文withdrawal all remaining troops before the end of 2011 (Obama, 2009). In the past six years, Iraq failed to achieve the political stability. However, sectarian conflict and bloodshed continued. Because of the conflict and the war a large number of refugees returned to neighbouring countries and brought serious economic, security issues to neighbouring countries. Lots of Iraqis think U.S. troops should be withdrawn from Iraq. A series of anti-war processions continue to occur in American and the marchers called on the government to withdraw troops from Iraq.
