      In this project, the timetabling system is currently working to process many information related with class schedule such as unit details and room availability. The largest strength is that users can insert and search data in GUI designed by the developer. In other words, they will not have to operate by using MySQL GUI tool such as PHPMyAdmin and type something in command line as they may be not database expert and have no SQL skills. Verifying user identification is available to the system using username and password to login so the privilege management is stricter. In this way, the security index is significantly improved. For example, it is nearly possible for students to change their timetable when they are not happy with it as thhttps://www.51lunwen.org/projectmanagement/ ey can’t enter into any pages except for the lookup page that is aimed to allow student and lecturer to check timetable by entering id number. In addition, completely automatic scheduling will be possible once all functions have been successfully implemented. If so, the efficiency and accurate rate may be significantly improved for schedule.

      On the other hand, there are still some weaknesses in this system. In database design, the developer sets postcode as a student attribute in order to get the accurate distance between University and student home address. However, unfortunately, the timetabler currently has to check the distance through going to Google website first and then enter the value on a text field in the interface. If the timetabler needs to schedule a large of classes, he/she will feel very tired to do so. This solution will be mentioned last section. In addition, in fact, the class scheduling is independent among five faculties. In other words, the timetablers from different faculties may do this task at the same time. However, some information is shared by them such as room availability as a department is usually not dedicated to other departments in room selection. If so, in case of that a room has been booked by a class but the information update is a bit late, this may leads more errors happen. This is also a problem expected to solve. Plus, the privilege to update the rohttps://www.51lunwen.org/projectmanagement/ om availability is not managed strictly. This may lead that the information on this is not reliable if the availability can be changed freely. In the last section, the solution will be described in detail.
