摘要:本文是英语阅读论文,The study of reading strategies in second language started in the 1970s. Phillips (1975) forEnglish as a Second Language Learners to study, how to perform reading tasks, the use of“sound-mind” to those who deal with words when reading strategies used were investigatedreading strategies to distinguish skilled and unskilled reader used.

Learn the results of the study, some of the effects rendering. In order to improve the abilityof students overall strategy to promote students' reading ability, reading teachers not only to teachthem reading strategies, but also to help them as time goes on and after the effective application ofthe teaching environment and the maintenance and use strategies. Part of the reader’s own, if theywant to become strategic readers, you can read the future implementation of lifelong trainingstrategies, they must take their own learning change, helping them to find better reading, andreading strategies to adopt successful solve a variety of texts. Only English majors know what todo, and how to manage reading strategies in reading, they can be competent readers.

This paper makes an attempt to find out the reading strategy use of the English majors.The following significant findings are summarized through the study.Frequency of reading strategies use is at the medium level.This paper attempts to identify the use of English reading strategies. The followingsummarizes the significant results through research.Frequency of reading strategies at a medium level.Although English majors really use some strategies, meta-cognitive strategies andcognitive strategies at a medium level. Some of them can not use reading strategies flexiblely. Theaverage means of 3.01 and 3.29. Depending on the frequency scale ( Oxford: 1990 ) , the averagescore represents the frequency of reading strategies to use. If it is between 2.5 and 3.4, the strategyis sometimes used. In other words, students lack their own strategies employed during the study.They may not be familiar with the contents of reading strategies or policies. More trainings shouldteach them to use reading strategies.
