As Mr. XX’s counselor and project supervisor, I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. XX for over four years. He has been a tremendous student and an asset to our school. I would like to take this opportunity to recommend this boy for your graduate program.

Even now, I still keep a vivid and impressed memory about experience of my initial acquaintance with this brilliant and ambitious young man. It was the first time of our class meeting in which I required students to take an introduction to themselves in terms of personalities, interests and ambitions. Of course, the majority of freshmen would feel a little nervous while conducting a representation before thirty new faces. It was he who broken the awkward atmosphere through representing himself and his aspiration to be a researcher in this field in a pleasant way as well as taking the responsibility of bridging a communication between me and other students. His logic expression and optimistic character had thus stayed in my mind.

Impressed by his talent, I am also especially touched by his regimented learning approach and excellent performance academically. I taught him three specialized courses: Microelectronic Device, Thick and Thin Film Hybrid Integrated Circuit and IC Design and Manufacture. During my class, he exhibited himself as being positive and active in thinking by proposing a number of thought-provoking and profound questions. After class, he showed himself as an assiduous and diligent one through often discussing his confusions confronted with in terms of academy and always being the last one to leave the laboratory. All of which not only bring him a solid theoretical background but also motivation and ambition to pursuit his dream of achieving himself to be a researcher in this domain.

Mr. XX packs the necessary qualities to be an excellent researcher as he is intelligent, industrious and focused. Besides, he has accumulated much research experience after he participated in the Key Laboratory of Microelectronics in autumn 2009. He operated experiments effectively, for which he, as the only student representative, was admitted into the two major scientific researches of our department, the projects of Oxygen Sensor and Discharge Tub. During the process of these two projects, Mr. XX devoted himself in reading related literature and analyzing data collected and proposed his ideas carefully and bravely. Almost every member in the laboratory were moved by his diligence as he always was responsible for conducting many diffuse experiments initiatively which takes a person a whole day to operate. I am confident that his possessing superior skills in problem analysis and solving as well as teamwork spirit would be highly instrumental to his future research work.

Serving as the class monitor and the leader of football team of our department, this sunshine boy is also active in daily life. As an excellent student leader, he builds up the bridge between teachers and students. Besides, under his leadership, the football activities were organized smoothly and effectively.
