我最熟悉的食物种类就是北部印度或旁遮普食物。印度食物以辛辣、丰富多样和独特性而著称。印度食物本身就是十分多样的,因为这个国家的每个州都有自己的食谱。每种食物都有自己的制作风格。举个例子,北部印度的食物和南部比起来没有那么辣,但是加入的辣料更复杂,香气更浓。他们会使用各种调料,比如肉,坚果,果干,乳酪。他们以香味浓郁和辣味精妙的辅料而著称。克什米尔红辣椒和藏红花会调和里面的味道。


作为对比,南部印度的食谱同样有自己标志性的独特风格。用大米制作而成的菜肴是所有南印度餐桌上必有的部分。更常见的是,人们使用印度香米来增加松软口感和芳香气味。


I have fond memories of food as a child and remember many of our family gatherings to be around a nicely set table of food from different countries, made by different people. This is where my love of food came from. I have always wanted to travel the world and make a difference is another person’s life by introducing him to a certain type of food. I’m from Malaysia with north Indian ancestry, In some aspects, my culture of India has settled into my life as a Malaysian. I love how some cultures and their style of preparing food has changed peoples’ lives, such as mine.


The type of food I am most familiar with is North Indian or Punjabi food. Indian food is mainly known for its spiciness, diversity, and influential uniqueness. Indian food by itself is very diverse because each state across the country has its own cuisine. Each style off food has its own procedure for preparation. For example, the food of north India is not as spicy compared to the south but spices used are more complex and aromatic. They use ingredients such as meat, nuts, dried fruits, and yoghurt are commonly used. They are characterized by highly aromatic and delicately spiced ingredients. Enhanced by the taste of Kashmiri chilies and saffron.


Contrastingly, South Indian cuisine also has its own unique signature style. Rice dishes are an essential part of any south Indian meal. Most commonly, basmati rice is used to give it its soft texture and aroma. Lentils and coconut milk are most commonly used in making these delightful delicacies. Spices such as mustard seeds, turmeric and red chilies are used thus giving the food a bright, vibrant color as well as making it spicier and tangy.


Southeast Asia has one of the tastiest foods around, influenced mostly by Indian and Chinese food. When people in the west speak of Chinese food, they probably mean Cantonese food. It's the best known and most popular variety of Chinese food. Cantonese food is noted for the variety and the freshness of its ingredients. The food are usually stir-fried with just a touch of oil to ensure that the result is crisp and fresh. All those best known 'western Chinese' dishes fit into this category - sweet and sour dishes, won ton, chow mein, spring rolls.
