自从我上一次作了现状汇报后，已经取得了许多改善。自从10月11日后我实际上在教数学的课程。承担责任和在课堂上被接受都使我感到快乐。我也非常幸运我能和合作教师和谐相处。当提到课堂管理和纪律的时候，我和我的合作教师都能达成一致意见。当他在上课的时候，我负责纪律管理，我能和调皮捣蛋的学生，并且给学生提供帮助而不影响老师上课。此外，当班级课堂将要失去控制的时候，由于我还在展示自己的权威，合作老师就会提醒我，哪怕我是老师，也应该尊重其他老师。说道我权威性的一面，这任然是一项需要不断进步的工作。我已经培养出了提高嗓门，纠正学生不良行为的能力。但是，当整个课堂失去控制，同学们开始窃窃私语的时候，我任然感觉力不从心。万圣节前夜这一现象尤为突出，因为同学们都很激动，并且开始吃糖果，以至于课堂上很嘈杂，无心学习。我尽力去纠正同学们，但我的合作老师走进了教室。尽管如此，我还是希望我能独自处理这种情形，因为我知道管理整个课堂需要时间和经验。

Teaching Status Report

A lot has changed since my last status report. I have essentially been teaching math lessons on my own since October 11th. It feels really good to have so much responsibility and to become an accepted part of the classroom. I am also realizing how lucky I am to have a cooperating teacher who I am so compatible with. In reference toclassroom management and discipline, my cooperating teacher and I have become a team. When he is teaching I serve as another source of discipline, I can talk to students one-on-one who are causing trouble and I can provide help to students so my teacher can continue with the lesson. Furthermore, because I am still working on my authoritative side, when the class gets really out of control my cooperating teacher serves as a reminder that although I may be a student teacher I should be respected like the other teachers. In reference to my authoritative side, it is still a work in progress. I definitely have developed an ability to raise my voice and correct a student when they are misbehaving. However, I still have trouble when the entire class gets out of control and starts talking. Halloween definitely revealed this weakness, the Friday before this holiday was especially stressful because the students were so excited about their plans and had already began eating candy so they were very noisy and they did not want to learn. I tried my best to correct them but my cooperating teacher had to step in. Although I wish I could have handled the situation myself I know this skill of correcting the entire class will come with time and experience.

My students’ behaviors and learning abilities are both disappointing and exciting to talk about. It amazes me that some students have the ability to work hard, regardless of their personal lives, and truly want to learn. However, there are some students who have absolutely no desire to be in school. My teacher is still working with the guidance office to see which students have IEPs and should not be in this classroom. I am really frustrated that no action has been taken yet, the school year is quickly going by and it is clear that some of these students need more help than my cooperating teacher and I can provide. Another interesting detail about this problem is that most of the IEPs are behavior related. I always assumed a student would have an IEP only if he or she were getting terrible grades and were not at the academic level of his or her peers. But as I work in the classroom, I am seeing that many students have the ability to learn, they just have other issues such as constantly talking or constantly touching other students. Before JPE, I would have said these students just need discipline, but my opinion has changed. JPE has shown me that some of these students just cannot control themselves, even with discipline. In fact, disciplining them is almost cruel because they cannot stop themselves. These students need to be put in a cla
