穆斯林妇女在澳大利亚的社会地位研究
Introduction
The discourse on the plight of Muslim women shows ignorance at best, and racism at worst. The plight of Muslim women has become a paradigm of victim hood (Kabir N, 2005). This essay examines the perceived experience of Muslim women in Australia. In addition, the essay looks at the reasons underlying the racial discrimination against those women. The essay is based on in-depth analysis of immigrant women who identify themselves as followers of Islam and are now living in Australia. Nowadays, reports of discriminations against Muslim women living in Australia are common sights. To understand the issues in more detail we would explore the experiences of Muslim women in Australia in this essay. First, I will elaborate the position and experiences of Muslim women in Australia in detail. The evidence mainly comes from newspapers, magazines, news reports, television, radio, the internet, and so on. This can be divided into several parts, among which I mainly study their experiences of dressing, studying, working, etc. Then I will explore in-deep reasons and give some suggestions to governments or institutions. Lastly, a conclusion will be drawn.
