Introduction
The aim is confused and confusing – to understand the economic impact of film tourism would be extremely difficult to measure and the development of film tourism difficult to explore without access to the film industry. The research objectives are poorly expressed and do not make sense.

Action: Check work for typographical errors and omissions in English. Include references to support and substantiate claims. Improve referencing style and structure of the chapter. Re-write research objectives.

literature review
There are only eight references in the entire chapter – although there must be aspects of the literature review that have not been properly referenced as there are a good number of statistics used with no sources to support the claims. The literature review is extremely descriptive and has no critical evaluation. It is unclear at the end of the literature review why the research needs to be conducted.

Action: Include an introduction to the literature review that clearly outlines the scope, direction and focus of the chapter. Include references to support and substantiate claims. Improve the English and expression in the narrative. Any sub-sections need to be linked. Critically evaluate the literature reviewed.

methodology
The methodology contains no references at all but relies heavily on Kent 2007. It is unclear as to why this research method has been chosen and why 300 responses were sought. Poorly structured.

Action: Structure chapter to include what research you actually conducted and why. Discuss the sampling approach adopted. Include reference to your own research philosophy.

Analysis
The statistics are very descriptive and very poorly laid out/expressed. Some attempt to underpin the findings with previous academic thought but as this was limited in Chapter 2 it was going to be limited here. Why is there a SWOT analysis on page 52?

Action: Ensure there is a relationship between the data and the narrative. Conduct further statistical tests with justification for doing so with specific reference to how this builds on or develops existing research in this area.

Conclusions/Recommendations
Some interesting suggestions here but given the findings these cannot be substantiated. A wide ranging number of references included in the bibliography are not cited in dissertation.

Action: Include academic implications associated with findings. Substantiate any claims made. Refer to the initial objectives when reflecting on your findings. Check that the entire dissertation is correctly referenced.
