摘要：‘If there is a backward bending supply of labor, wage increases that are intended to increase the supply of labor, wage can be taken as one of the most important method which is easily applied. It a company’s return for its staff to reward staff’s efforts time, knowledge, skills, experience and creativity for the company, it's the company’s recognition for its staff’s contribution. But sometimes wage increases bring opposite results, companies do not meet their intended purpose, it is a waste of money and brings no benefits to enterprises, which is also a hint of loss for enterprises. In this essay, it is from three aspects to analyze the subject. It first explores what reasons lead to the negative effect brought by the increase of wages, then goes to analyze why this negative effect happens, finally, it discusses how to avoid the negative effect caused by wage increases.
