摘要:By empirical study, this paper explores an effective teaching method to alleviate foreignlanguage reading anxiety method. Due to the limitation of the study, further investigationsshould be conducted in the future. In the future, subjects from different levels are expected to beincluded.

Jigsaw reading teaching mode aims at digging students’ potentiality adequately bycooperate learning and achieve overall and personal goals at the same time. So it’s necessary toestablish regulatory evaluation mechanism which turns out to promote members to makepersonal efforts and mutual assistance during cooperation. Meanwhile it’s also critical toestablish a rational evaluation mechanism to evaluate each member’s results as individual andeach group’s performance as a whole. The evaluation mechanism should take a combination ofqualitative and quantitative (Huang, 2008:67). It should not only reflect the overall taskaccomplishment both in home groups and expert groups, but also to achieve the taskcompletion of individual students, and at the same time it is convenient for facilitating theapplication.


5.3 Limitation of Present Study

There are some inadequacies in the experiment.On one hand, in order to ensure the quality of teaching, the college requires that class sizeis fewer than 50. Only 90 students are picked up to attend the experiment. The subjects are sofew that the research conclusion is limited. And experimental class and control class areselected from garment pattern majors whose English achievements are higher than other majorsin higher vocational college. And reading anxiety stands at the crossroads between Psychologyand second language acquisition. Under the different circumstances, psychological variables inthis research are difficult to measure. In addition, it is impossible to ensure that all the responsesare truthful. The reliable of the results cannot be ensured in this sense.


5.4 Recommendations for Further Study

By empirical study, this paper explores an effective teaching method to alleviate foreignlanguage reading anxiety method. Due to the limitation of the study, further investigationsshould be conducted in the future. In the future, subjects from different levels are expected to beincluded.
