摘要:本文是英语词汇学论文,本文以多元智能理论、建构主义理论、儿童认知发展理论和人本主义理论为理论基础,以大连市松山小学六年一班和六年二班的学生为实验对象,将游戏教学法应用于小学英语词汇教学,并进行了对比研究。
1 Introduction
1.1 Background of the study
With the rise of China’s economy and the acceleration of the globalization process, the open cooperation between China and other countries in the world is becoming more and more close. As a universal language and the carrier of information exchange, English is increasingly valued by society and individuals. In our country, more and more parents begin to pay more attention to their children’s ability of English learning. There are even some parents who let their children learn English when kids are very young. For example, when the children go to kindergarten, they begin to contact and learn English. Education, English leaning in primary school is the beginning of the majority of children in contact with English, and the beginning of learning English. Therefore, English education in primary schools has become the focus of attention. But in the class system of English teaching process, there is still a question which kind of teaching methods teachers will choose to teach students, which not only fit the psychological development of students, but also help them to absorb and understand the new language knowledge, so that they can learn to be relaxed and interested in English learning. In the teaching process, the author uses the game teaching approach to teach English, according to the characteristics of students’ psychological development in primary school. The game teaching approach stimulates interest of students in learning and makes the learning content become easy and interesting, so that it reduces the pressure of learning, and lets students love learning English.

1.2 Significance of the study
For primary school students who have just begun to learn English, their attention is not focused and they have a strong curiosity. Teachers should use this kind of psychological characteristics of the students to create a learning environment for their learning and combine teaching content with the game.
