Therefore, teachers should let students know the social customs of English-speaking countries as much as possible to expand their knowledge. Teachers should pay special attention to the cultural differences between China and English-speaking countries.

2) Cultivate students' habit of thinking in English
For Chinese students, it will affect their normal listening and hinder the improvement of listening, if they want to understand by transferring the transitory flow of English into Chinese. but not conducive to the. Therefore, teachers should try to explain in English with pictures, body languages, and other methods, in order to cultivate students' habit of thinking in English, and in this way they can get rid of the interference from their mother tongue.

3) Cultivate students’ ability to capture information
Listening is characterized by the limitation of time and space, and the passivity of information receiving. Through training, teachers can help students catch the key words in the listening materials, take notes while listening, and take down proper information of the listening materials. Teachers should train students to form the habit of listening to information, that is, grasping the main message and discard some secondary information, so as not to affect the understanding of the main plot and the central idea of whole passage. Teachers should also develop students’ short-term memory and train them to correctly allocate their attention.

4) Cultivate students’ predicting and judging abilities
Emphasis on the training of listening skills is an effective measure to improve students’ listening comprehension. Teachers should cultivate students’ abilities of retrieving, predicting and judging the content that they have listened, and guide the students to predict and determine the significance of the material content according to different language materials and clues of the known information. The training of predict and judging abilities can be based on the title or exercises that follows the text. In this way, students will have the feeling of knowing the material before listening, and will have a strong desire to listen. Thus, they will feel that it is easy to understand the listening material. It is important to get the topic sentence or the key words, as the topic sentence or the key words, which often reveal the main content of the text, is beneficial for the understanding of the text.
