探析文化差异对商务英语翻译的影响及对策The Influences and Strategies of Cultural Differences on Business English Translation

Abstract  

   Economic globalization has deepened the commercial communication between different nations and cultures. As a global working language of business communication, business English has attracted much attention among people. In business communication, effective exchange of information is related closely to cultural factors. From the perspective of cross-cultural communication, in addition to the information itself, the response to the information conveyed also depends on the culture of conveyer and receptor. The author analyzes the cultural factors in business English translation and puts forward some strategies to achieve the equivalence of cultural information. This paper aims to study the cultural information shift in business English translation. Through the research of the process and methods of cultural information shift, some feasible methods will be provided tentatively so as to improve the quality of business English translation.

经济全球化加深了不同国家和文化之间的商业通信。作为全球商务沟通的工作语言，商务英语已经引起了人们的关注，其中。在商务交往中，信息的有效交换与文化因素密切相关。从跨文化交际的角度来看，除了信息本身，对信息的反应传达也取决于输送和受体的文化。作者分析了在商务英语翻译中的文化因素并提出了一些策略来实现文化信息的对等。本文旨在研究商务英语翻译中的文化信息的转换。通过对文化信息转换的过程和方法的研究，将提供一些可行的方法，尝试以提高商务英语翻译的质量。
Culture is one of the most important factors affect the business English translation, so it should be emphasized. Besides, this paper also reveals the loss and distortion of information in English translation as a result of cultural differences, and strengthens the importance of studying information shift in translation. The author expects that the study of this paper can provide more effective guidance to the translation of business English practice so as to improve the quality of business English translation.

摘 要

    人们之间的商务沟通随着经济全球化的进程更加频繁。商务英语是全球商务沟
通的工作语言，它在业内已经引起了人们的重视。在商务活动往来中，信息的有效交换与文化因素关系紧密。从跨文化交际的视角来看，在信息本身之外，人们对于传达信息的反应还由信息传递者与接受者所处的文化所决定。文化对信息的传递有影响，因此也影响语言间的翻译。本文主要的研究内容是商务语篇翻译中文化信息的转换。针对商务语篇中出现的涉及的段落以及句子的表达，运用信息理论进行分析讨论。
通过以跨文化交际理论为指导的研究分析，本文结论指出译者翻译商务语篇时应当树立跨文化意识，文化是影响商务语篇翻译质量的重要因素，应得到充分重视是由于从文化信息转换视角研究商务语篇的资料不够充分，作者在研究过程中还有不足，作者期待本文能指导商务语篇的翻译实践，从而不断提高商务语篇翻译的质量。
