摘要:本文是一篇商务英语论文,本研究借助语料库工具Wmatrix考察了中国和美国IT公司的企业身份构建。本研究的结果提供了理论和实践意义。从理论上讲,本研究探讨了企业身份是如何被话语建构的,并为不同文化中的企业身份研究提供了启示,这不仅从比较的角度丰富了企业身份研究,也为史和程(2021)提出的研究框架提供了证据。
Secondly, both the Chinese and American companies apply hybrid strategies. Chinese companies shed light on the CAb-focused strategy by positively constructing their image of self-reforming and focusing on corporate development, especially the future and the ongoing process of the future. However, American companies are more concerned with the CSR-focused strategy and put emphasis on communications with stakeholders and within communities. Chinese companies are constructed as a profitable investor, a promising and growing competitor, a credible and responsible cooperator, a determined and committed self-reformer, and a responsible builder. They are more concerned with the corporate status, profitability, and future development, and act more positively as an agent of change in emphasizing the core value and the creation of value. Comparatively, American companies are constructed as a rational investor, an efficient and growing performer, a caring and responsible contributor, a considerate and positive changemaker, and a capable leader. They prefer the CSR-focused strategy and attempt to build public’s corporate associations and shoulder social responsibility. American companies are more concerned with stakeholders from various aspects and shoulder more social responsibility.
