It was hard to define the effectiveness of leadership and the main components of effective leadership. Let say from the start point the basic concept of management and leadership need to be separated and clarified. Management has its own task, management oriented decisions and process-oriented 'POSDCORB' definition and also with the use of legitimate, reward and coercive power sources. These are the power which is mostly used by managers. This definition matches the concepts of management and transactional leadership. These concepts look similar but not identical.

On the other hand transformational leadership base on followers, inspire the followers and also share vision with followers. Transformational leaders encourage the followers to achieve the vision and how they can improve their personal skill and make their self more useful for any organisation. These transformational leaders are which can make employees more effective for the organisation. Transformational leadership involves the use of idealised influence (charisma), inspirational leadership, intellectual stimulation, and individualised consideration. The individualised considerations dimension is focused by many writers and they emphasised on it as well as it is consider the most important component of transformational leadership model which emerge the qualities of followers. Transformational leaders are focused persons and they have the capabilities to drive the personal value system of any individual through fairness, equality, justice and integrity and they also able to gain the trust and commitment of followers through the use of referent and expert power sources.

World is growing very rapidly and it is not easy to match with the standards of highly advanced world. If we look in any business environment then we realise that leaders are being short from the existing business map day by day and this situation is alarming. There is global business requirement to develop an effective leadership in organisation. This is driven commonly held belief that there is a net shortage of suitable leader's candidates available to meet the future requirements. There are leaders in the current business environment but not for the exact business requirements. Transformational leadership is epically needed to generate commitment from employees, these are leader are able to win the confidence of the followers. They are capable to encourage employees, helpful towards creative behaviour, support continuous learning and to develop and maintain competitive advantage. The Emirates Group is no exception and the development of transformational leadership may well be a critical determinant of future success.
